Henry the bear wants to go mountain climbing but before he can set off on his journey he is arrested for not paying his taxes--which he has been refusing to pay because they support the institution of slavery. Although he is jailed, Henry still finds a way to climb his mountain. This is the third book to feature the ursine Henry, who is modeled after philosopher Henry David Thoreau.
